Privacy Policy

OutbidIndia is operated from India and this policy explains exactly what we hold, why, and for how long. It applies to outbidindia.com and every board on it.

What we collect

• Listing details you submit: the URL, Google Maps link or @handle, category, one-line description, city and PIN code. All of this is public by design, because a public board is the product.
• Your email, if you claim a listing: stored so we know who holds that listing, and used to send a one-time code. Codes are stored only as a hash and expire in ten minutes.
• Payment references: Razorpay processes the payment. We receive an order id, a payment id and the amount. We never see or store your card number, UPI ID, CVV, or bank credentials.
• Technical logs: IP address and user agent, kept for abuse prevention and rate limiting.
• Counters: aggregate visit and click counts. These are totals, not profiles.

What we do not do

• No advertising trackers, no third-party ad pixels, no data brokers.
• We do not sell, rent or share your email with anyone.
• We do not build behavioural profiles or run retargeting.

Who else is involved

• Razorpay for payments, under their own privacy policy.
• Resend to deliver one-time codes by email.
• Google Places API to look up public business information for local listings.
• logo.dev to fetch public brand logos by domain.
• Hosting is a DigitalOcean server in Bangalore, India, so listing data stays in India.

How long we keep it

• Listings and their bid history: retained while the board exists, since a public ledger of who paid what is the point.
• One-time codes: ten minutes, then unusable.
• Server logs: about 30 days.
• Payment records: as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

Write to support@outbidindia.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have your email removed. We reply within 30 days. Removing an email releases any claim it holds; a paid listing's public bid record remains, because the board is a factual record of payments made.

Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.
